What tips have the School’s staff implemented to reduce their energy consumption at the office? We offer you a selection of their tips:
Exercise to warm up!
Cycling to the School is a good way to exercise while warming up. Cycling warms you up. Once you arrive at the office, there’s no need to turn the heating up to maximum.
Too far from the School to cycle? The Staff Common Room organizes sports sessions during lunch breaks. This is another good way to warm up and relax your body and mind. After a session, the radiator can remain at minimum for the afternoon.
Use energy-efficient appliances
Do you know the Wonderbag eco-cooker? It’s a non-electric slow cooker. Once you start cooking your dishes in a pot, the eco-cooker allows the cooking process to continue without additional energy input by using the principle of heat retention. Ultimately, energy consumption is reduced by 10 times.
In general, prioritize high-performance electrical equipment. Choosing energy-efficient equipment helps reduce energy bills, and this applies to appliances in the office or break rooms (coffee machines, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.).
