The first Mines Saint-Étienne PhD candidate to reach this stage of the competition, Thibaut Sohier was among the 14 candidates selected for the local final in Lyon: the event was cancelled, but his performance deserves recognition!

Thibaut Sohier is a PhD candidate in the Secure Systems and Architectures Department, Centre of Microelectronics in Provence, a joint CEA / Mines Saint-Étienne research team under the supervision of Assia Tria (and supervised at CEA by Stéphan Borel).

Selected for the local final “My Thesis in 180 Seconds 2020” organised by the University of Lyon, his research focuses on “Development of a protection structure against physical back-side attacks on secure chips”.
