This essential event in the school’s life took place on Tuesday, June 25, at the Domaine de Turzon in Saint-Georges-les-Bains. It brought together 134 staff members from the Saint-Étienne and Gardanne campuses.

Reconnecting, meeting, exchanging, breaking down silos, and looking ahead.

These were the keywords for this traditional workday blended with relaxation, organized once again in Ardèche.

The academic portion of the event took place in the late morning. Divided into 21 small groups, participants worked on building bridges between the various sectors that make up the Mines Saint-Étienne galaxy (education, research, health, industry of the future, CSR, etc.).

These lively discussions yielded interesting avenues for reflection and concrete proposals to improve our practices, our training tools, and our communication methods. These will be carefully reviewed, compiled, and then presented at the start of the new academic year.

“I hope you had an enjoyable day. I wanted to bring you together today to reflect on the systems we can imagine to make our school even more virtuous, attractive, inclusive, and influential. I am convinced that the ideas resulting from these workshops will be inspiring in many ways. We all have a role to play.”

Jacques Fayolle, Director of Mines Saint-Étienne

Work hard, play hard

Following a buffet served in the shade of the trees with musical accompaniment, everyone was then able to enjoy the moment by swimming, walking, or playing pétanque and Mölkky.

The day concluded with a souvenir photo taken for the first time using a drone.
