The 2024 Annual Conference of the French Ceramics Group (GFC) was held in Saint-Étienne from March 19 to 21.

Organized by staff members from the LGF and SAINBIOSE laboratories at Mines Saint-Étienne, these three days took place on the Saint-Étienne campus of emlyon business school.

The event brought together 130 participants from various French and Belgian laboratories.

The event featured forty oral presentations, six presentations by doctoral candidates competing for the best thesis award, and two lectures on topics including mineral raw materials for the traditional ceramics industry (Mr. A. SEVAGEN, Sevagen SA) and the recycling of technical ceramics (Ms. A. EL MAANGAR, VALOREF BU, Saint-Gobain).

All topics related to the study of ceramic materials were addressed with the objective of reviewing the latest scientific and technological advances in the field.

Six companies also exhibited their technical equipment on this occasion: 3DCERAM (Limoges), Formulaction (Toulouse), Ribori (Genay), Setaram (Lyon), Grindosonic (Leuven, Belgium), and Setnag.

The event received support from Saint-Étienne Métropole and the companies Bony SA (Saint-Étienne), Imérys (Paris), Setnag (Marseille), and Solcera (Evreux).
