Biography
Paul is British and has been living and working in France since 1995. Having qualified firstly as a motorcycle instructor and then an English teacher in the UK he moved to France to start a career in teaching in French Grandes Ecoles, both in Engineering and Management Schools. He also continued his studies in Business and Management at graduate and post-graduate levels in France.
He was a Professor of English and Head of Languages at a Management School for ten years before moving to Mines St Etienne where he currently heads the International Department as well as teaching English. He is particularly interested in improving students’ intercultural awareness, be that through his own language teaching, team-teaching of Science and language simultaneously or by structuring the internationalisation of pedagogical programmes at Mines St Etienne. To this end he is a qualified auditor for the European Consortium of Accreditation’s “CeQuInt” label which assesses programmes’ and institutions’ levels of internationalisation.
