Professional position

Research Associate (Octobre 96 → Octobre 97)

Research Associate in UK with Prof. M. R. Wisnom, in the “Aerospace Engineering” department of the Bristol University; modelling of NCF reinforcements for structural composites in order to provide Airbus/British Aerospace with manufacturing directives to optimise upstream the compressive and interlaminar performances; use :

–  FE non-linear analyses

–  introduction of homogenized non-linear constitutive laws.

PhD degree (Octobre 93 → Septembre 96)

in Mechanics (20 Septembre 1996) at the Université of Metz (France): “Prediction of the compressive strength of long-fibre composites : structural approach of microbuckling”. Under the supervision of Profs. M. Potier-Ferry and J.-C Grandidier at “Laboratoire de Physique et Mécanique des Matériaux / Computational Mechanics group” :

computational mechanics applied to composite materials

= development of a FE code : periodic homogenization, scale transition, geometrical instabilities, non-linear constitutive law.
