Responsible to the challenges of 21st century transitions, to our students and our staff. One of the best technological universities in Europe.
Drawing on its 200-year history and the excellence of its staff, its mission is to train managers to meet the challenges of today’s major transitions, to produce research that is a source of innovation, to support economic development and to ensure a harmonious relationship between science, technology and society. Mines Saint-Étienne is the driving force behind innovations that have a positive impact on our ecosystems and society in industrial, economic, energy and environmental terms.
The Mines Saint-Étienne 2023-2027 strategic plan is a collective expression of this ambition. It contributes to the overall strategy of the Institut Mines-Télécom, which is briefly presented in the first pages of this document.
Mines Saint-Étienne’s strategy is then described in terms of its ambition, general positioning and sustainability, before being translated into 10 strategic guidelines for action.
A summary of the actions carried out as part of the 2017-2021 strategic plan illustrates the use we can make of such a strategic plan. Finally, an infographic summarises the impact of Mines Saint-Étienne within and serving its ecosystem, using key figures for the year 2022.
Before letting you discover our strategic ambition in the following pages, I would like to emphasise the collective dimension of the construction of this plan. More than 200 people (staff, students, alumni, partners, etc.) have contributed intensively to this document throughout 2022, through working groups, collective ideation days and drafting work. This is an essential strength, and a guarantee of the success of our strategy.
