Biography
Michelle Mongo graduated from the Université Jean Monnet – Saint-Etienne with a Master’s Degree in Economics, Law and Management, and a PhD in Economics of innovation. She is a lecturer at the Henri Fayol Institute of the “École des Mines de Saint-Étienne” (France). Her research focuses on the relationship between economy, innovation and sustainable development. As part of this work, Michelle Mongo questions innovation as a possible mode of action to make the ecological transition. The study of the nature of innovations (environmental vs. frugal), the processes allowing their emergence, adoption and dissemination as well as their systemic impacts according to geographical contexts (North/South) are at the center of Michelle Mongo’s research work. In this context, her current functions offer her the opportunity to invest in research projects, training, networking of innovation actors, particularly in the context of African countries. |
