  • Teaching Areas

I teach at undergraduate and graduate levels the following courses: thermal reactivity of solids and kinetic modelling, nuclear physics and nuclear reactors, nuclear fuel cycle.
I’m co-responsible for “energy transition” course where students find keys to understand the production and use of different types of energy and be presented with the elements necessitating energy transition and possible ways of organizing it.
I’m also in charge of a multi-disciplinary project called workshop skills, where the students learn the basic culture and to use and manage tools and techniques made available to them in a given field.

  • Biography

After a PhD thesis devoted to chemical transformation of solids, I’ve started my research activities at Mines Saint-Etienne in the field of heterogeneous kinetics applied to chemical engineering. Especially I developed an original multi-scale expertise applied to solid-gas reactors by coupling heterogeneous kinetics with heat and mass transfer inside a porous medium.
Based on experimental skills (thermal analysis, divided solids characterization) and theoretical concepts (heterogeneous kinetics). It was applied to several industrial fields such as the nuclear fuel cycle, ore processing, building materials, materials reprocessing, SCR, heat storage, CO2 capture…
I have coordinated the teaching activities dedicated to Chemical Engineering at Mines Saint-Etienne during four years, including ICM, Masters of Science and Apprenticeship Continuing Education master degrees. I’m now co-responsible of the education program for the Nuclear Engineering Master’s degree delivered by Mines Saint-Etienne in connection with ISTP.
