Elles font l\u2019objet de recherches au LGF depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es. C\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement vrai dans l\u2019\u00e9quipe SURF, mais pas uniquement : les surfaces et les interfaces sont pr\u00e9sentes en tant que concepts ou objets physiques dans nos quatre \u00e9quipes. La th\u00e9matique \u00ab Surfaces et interfaces \u00bb est organis\u00e9e autour de trois axes principaux.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; css_animation_delay=&#8221;0.5&#8243;]<h2 class=\"vcex-heading vcex-heading-bottom-border-w-color vcex-module wpex-heading wpex-text-2xl wpex-mb-15 wpex-border-b-2 wpex-border-solid wpex-border-main\"><span class=\"vcex-heading-inner wpex-inline-block wpex-relative wpex-pb-5 wpex-border-b-2 wpex-border-solid wpex-border-accent\">R\u00f4le des surfaces et des interfaces dans la durabilit\u00e9 des mat\u00e9riaux<\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text]<!-- \/wp:post-content -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->La surface peut \u00eatre d\u00e9finie comme la fronti\u00e8re entre le mat\u00e9riau et l\u2019environnement ext\u00e9rieur. Elle est donc le lieu privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 de m\u00e9canismes de d\u00e9gradation, comme par exemple, pour les mat\u00e9riaux m\u00e9talliques, la corrosion aqueuse, l\u2019oxydation \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature ou la prise d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne. De m\u00eame, les joints de grains peuvent constituer des \u00ab\u00a0points faibles\u00a0\u00bb des mat\u00e9riaux m\u00e9talliques, notamment en pr\u00e9sence de s\u00e9gr\u00e9gations, et conduire \u00e0 des ruptures intergranulaires, sous certaines sollicitations thermom\u00e9caniques. La compr\u00e9hension et la mod\u00e9lisation des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes de d\u00e9gradation li\u00e9s aux surfaces et aux interfaces constituent l\u2019un des \u00ab\u00a0c\u0153urs de m\u00e9tier\u00a0\u00bb du LGF.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><br \/><!-- wp:paragraph -->En parall\u00e8le de cette d\u00e9marche de compr\u00e9hension et de mod\u00e9lisation, et en lien avec nos partenaires de Lyon-Saint-Etienne, nous avons initi\u00e9 r\u00e9cemment une approche d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie des surfaces, visant \u00e0 contrecarrer les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes de d\u00e9gradation.
