Notre objectif est de mieux comprendre la relation entre les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s issus de l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie des surfaces et leurs cons\u00e9quences m\u00e9caniques et m\u00e9tallurgiques. Cet axe donne lieu \u00e0 plusieurs actions&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>La compr\u00e9hension des \u00e9volutions microstructurales li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019irradiation laser<\/strong> dans le cadre de la texturation des surfaces. Ce sujet b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de la collaboration \u00e9troite nou\u00e9e depuis plusieurs d\u00e9cennies entre le LabHC de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Jean Monnet \u00e0 Saint-Etienne et le LGF.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>La compr\u00e9hension des \u00e9volutions microstructurales li\u00e9es aux sollicitations (thermo)m\u00e9caniques de surface.<\/strong> Plus particuli\u00e8rement, nous menons des actions sur les cons\u00e9quences m\u00e9caniques et microstructurales des proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de grenaillage, galetage, usinage et de projection \u00e0 froid. Nous menons \u00e9galement des actions sur l\u2019effet des chocs thermiques sur l\u2019endommagement des mat\u00e9riaux comme les alliages de Tungst\u00e8ne dans le contexte de la fusion thermonucl\u00e9aire.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019essais nanom\u00e9caniques sous MEB.<\/strong> Cette comp\u00e9tence est n\u00e9e du besoin de caract\u00e9riser \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle des surfaces et interfaces les gradients de propri\u00e9t\u00e9 m\u00e9canique induits par les proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de fabrication. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 combin\u00e9e au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un autre savoir-faire \u2013 le nano-usinage par faisceau d\u2019ions focalis\u00e9s (FIB) permettant de fabriquer des micro-objets comme des micropiliers.
