MSc Mechanics and Materials Processing (MMP)

The master MMP is based on a set of courses in the mechanics of materials and process engineering fields. The objective is to provide to the future scientific managers, the fundamental and advanced knowledge required to develop deep reflections in these topics.

Applicant must have completed at least 4 years of university study (bachelor's degree or higher)

Mandatory courses (12 ECTS)

  • Computational mechanics (6 ECTS)
  • Mechanics of materials (6 ECTS)

Specific MMP courses (2x6 ECTS)

  • Non-metallic materials (6 ETCS)
    • Composite manufacturing and induced properties (6 ECTS)
  • In-service behaviour (6 ETC)
    • Damage and Fracture Mechanics (3 ECTS)
    • Solid and structure dynamics (3 ECTS)
    • Plates and shells (6 ECTS)

Additional courses (6 ECTS)

  • Corrosion and surface reactivity (6 ECTS)
  • Introduction to surface engineering (3 ECTS)
  • Surface functionnalisation (3 ECTS)

Human sciences and lab project (9 ECTS)

  • Human Sciences (3 ECTS)
  • English and/or French (3 ECTS)
  • Lab project (3 ECTS)

Research training period (21 ECTS)

With this master degree, the student can apply for a PhD in mechanics, mechanics of materials, computational mechanics. He can also apply in industry for an R&D job.

  • Duration: 4 – 6 months

Most of the MMP courses are in french.
