About Us

Library

The main library occupies one whole floor of the school’s original building. It is set in a magnificent space dedicated to quiet reflection and reading.
The library strives to accommodate the needs of every student as well as professors, researchers and PhD students of Mines Saint-Étienne.
The library has a considerable collection of books and a large number of periodicals. All in all, the School receives regularly some 270 printed works ranging from the national daily press to weekly reviews, foreign press and specialist reviews.

It provides readers, both on and off campus, with databases (ISI Web of Knowledge, IEEE, Elsevier…) covering all disciplines taught at École des Mines de Saint-Étienne as well as thousands of journals, magazines, and academic reviews in digital format.

A team of 6 qualified professionals is in charge of assisting the students, guiding them in their documentary research and offering a wide selection of complementary services such as training workshops for certain research tools and inter-library loans.

In collaboration with the other libraries of Saint-Étienne the library has also developed an inter-library network in Saint-Étienne and with the British Library.
